Smochine in sirop din vin alb si vanilie / Figs in syrup of white wine and vanilla

La inceput de weekend este cazul sa ne planificam ce vom face in aceste zile. Poate iesiti la plimbare, poate aveti activitati casnice sau poate primiti vizita unor prieteni.
Asa ca ar prinde bine sa va povestesc despre un desert usor de facut, gustos si care poate fi servit si de cei care tin post sau sunt vegetarieni.
Recunosc faptul ca a fost un experiment, foarte reusit ce-i drept. Sotul meu a gasit niste retete minunate cu smochine proaspete sau uscate. Am ales o reteta care continea ce aveam eu prin camara.
Iata ce trebuie sa pregatiti:
– 250 g smochine uscate
– 100 g stafide
– 100 g migdale
– 400 ml vin alb demisec
– 5 linguri de zahar
– vanilie Bourbon
– 200 g mascarpone (optional)

At weekend’s beginning it’s time to make plans about what we will do these days. Maybe you’ll take a walk, maybe you have some activities around your house or maybe you’ll have friends for visiting.
So it will be just fine to tell you some things about a dessert which is easy to make, it’s very tasty and can be served also by the ones who keep the tradition of the Lent before Easter or are vegetarians.
I admit it was just an experiment, very successful indeed. My husband found some wonderful recipes with fresh and dry figs. I chose a recipe which contained what I had in my pantry.
So here’s what you should prepare:
– 250 g dried figs
– 100 g raisins
– 100 g almonds
– 400 ml semi-dry white wine
– 5 tablespoons of sugar
– Bourbon vanilla
– 200 g mascarpone (optional)

Am pus smochinele, stafidele si migdalele impreuna cu zaharul si vanilia intr-un vas ceramic. Am adaugat vinul si am pus capacul.
Vasul se pune in cuptorul preincalzit, la temperatura medie si se lasa 20-25 de minute.

I put the figs, raisins and almonds with the sugar and vanilla in a ceramic pot. I added the wine and I put the lid.
The pot was put in the preheated oven, at medium temperatureand was left there for 20-25 minutes.

Am lasat desertul sa se raceasca timp de o ora. Apoi am pus vasul in frigider timp de inca doua ore. Siropul va fi absorbit de fructe iar aromele se amesteca rezultand un desert delicios.

I left the dessert to cool down for an hour. After that I put the pot in the fridge for two hours. In this time the syrup will be absorbed by the fruits and the flavors will be mixed resulting a delicious dessert.

Serviti desertul rece, simplu sau cu mascarpone, iaurt, smantana sau frisca. Este minunat!

Serve this dessert cold, simple or with mascarpone, yogurt, cream or whipped cream. It’s wonderful!
