Lasagna – reteta mea / Lasagna – my recipe

Mai multe persoane care citesc blogul m-au intrebat cum fac eu lasagna. Asa ca am pregatit zilele astea o “mostra”.
Exact ca si in cazul Tiramisu am crezut ca deja cunoasteti reteta si ca nu sunteti interesati de ea. M-am inselat. Din nou.
Luati un creion si notati ingredientele de care aveti nevoie:
– 600 g carne tocata de vita
– 400 g carne tocata de porc
– 400 g pasta de ardei (sau 3-4 ardei mari rosii)
– 2 cepe
– 2 linguri de ulei
– 2 ardei verzi
– 400 g rosii decojite
– cimbru
– 2 catei de usturoi
– sare – 750 g foi de lasagna
– 3 oua
– 150 g cascaval
– 50 ml lapte

Some persons who read my blog asked me how I cook lasagna. So I prepared these days a “sample”.
Exactly as in Tiramisu’s case, I thought that you already know the recipe and you’re not interested. I was wrong. Again.
So, take a pencil and note the ingredients that you need:
– 600 g beef minced meat
– 400 g pork minced meat
– 400 g pepper sauce (or 3-4 big red bell peppers)
– 2 onions
– 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil
– 2 green bell peppers
– 400 g peeled tomatoes 
– savory
– 2 garlic cloves
– salt
– 750 g lasagna pastas 
– 3 eggs
– 150 g pressed cheese
– 50 ml milk

Luam un vas maricel in care punem uleiul.Curatam ceapa si o taiem marunt si o adaugam in vasul cu ulei. Calim ceapa pana cand devine sticloasa. Adica nu mult – 3-4 minute la foc mic.

We’ll take quite a big recipient in which we’ll put the oil. We peel off the onion and we cut it finely and we put it in the recipient.
We’ll temper the onion until it becomes glassy. I meant not much – 3-4 minutes at low temperature.

Puneti ardeii verzi spalati, curatati si taiati cubulete. Eu aveam ardei congelati. Da, am trisat! :))
Ii caliti si pe ei 4-5 minute.

Now you put the green bell peppers washed, without seeds and  cut in small cubes. I had frozen bell peppers. Yes, I cheated! :))
You’ll have to temper also the bell pepper for 4-5 minutes.

Adaugam carnea tocata si amestecam bine. Fiti atenti ca amestecul sa nu se prinda de vas.

We’ll add the minced meat and we mix. Be careful because we don’t want this mix to stick on the recipient. 

Peste cateva minute vom pune rosiile decojite pe care le-am taiat marunt si amestecam cu o spatula. Compozitia va incepe sa fiarba incet in suc propriu.

After few minutes we’ll add peeled tomatoes which were cut in small pieces and we mix with a spatula. The composition will start to boil slowly in it’s own sauce.

Adaugam pasta de ardei, condimentele si 50-60 ml de apa. Sosul se va lasa sa fiarba 20 de minute la foc mic. Amestecam din cand in cand in vas.

We’ll add bell pepper sauce, condiments and 50-60 ml of water. The sauce will be left to boil for 20 minutes by low fire. We’ll mix once in a while with the spatula in the recipient.

Cand sosul este fiert il lasam sa se racoreasca putin. Intre timp vom aranja foile de lasagna. Eu nu am folosit foi proaspete, ci din cele uscate. Stiu ca sunt tari si mai stiu ca toata lumea le fierbe inainte de a le folosi.
Am incercat si eu de cateva ori sa le fierb. Rezultatul a fost de fiecare acelasi: am obtinut un bloc intact si lipicios de paste. Motivul e foarte simplu. De fiecare data ma iau cu vorba la telefon sau visez cu ochii deschisi si uit sa le supraveghez. Asa ca de ceva vreme nu mai procedez asa. Le las nefierte; vor fierbe in cuptor.
Aranjez foile intr-o tava antiaderenta, pun sosul, apoi alte foi si tot asa. Ultimul strat este unul de foi. Apoi adaug apa cat sa acopere si stratul de foi si bag tava in cuptorul preincalzit. Focul trebuie sa fie moderat.

When the sauce is ready we’ll leave it to cool down. Meanwhile we can start to arrange the lasagna sheets. I didn’t use fresh lasagna sheets, but dried ones. I know they are hard and I also know that everybody boils them before using them. 
I tried to boil them few times. The result was always the same: I got a whole block of sticky pastas. The reason is so simple. Each time I talk too much on the phone or I dream with my eyes wide open and I forget to supervise my pot. So, for a while I’m proceeding this way. I leave them unboiled; they will boil in the oven.
I arrange the sheets into a nonadhesive pan, add the sauce, put other sheets of lasagna and so on.  The last layer is a formed by sheets of lasagna. After that I put water just to cover the last layer of pastas and I’m introducing the pan into the preheated oven. The fire has to be moderated.

Cand foile de lasagna sunt moi scoatem tava din  cuptor.
Punem intr-un castron ouale, laptele si cascavalul ras si amestecam pana obtinem o pasta. Aceasta se intinde pe foile de lasagna de la suprafata. Apoi punem tava inapoi in cuptor pentru aproximativ 10 minute. Cand este gata se scoate si se lasa la racorit. Se serveste calduta.

When the lasagna sheets are soft we’ll take the pan out of the oven. 
In a bowl we’ll put the eggs, milk and grated pressed cheese and we mix until we’ll obtain a paste. The paste will be put on the surface lasagna sheets.  We’ll put the tray back in the oven for almost 10 minutes. When lasagna is ready we’ll take it out and we’ll leave it to cool down. Lasagna is served warm.

Almondie cake / Prajitura Almondie

De cateva zile tot planuiesc sa pun aceasta reteta delicioasa.
Ba am ajuns mult prea tarziu acasa, ba au intervenit tot felul de lucruri mai putin placute si in final am avut mari probleme cu internetul. Cine poate lucra cu numai 20 kbs? Eu nu pot!
Si azi i-a venit in sfarsit randul.
Ma gandeam zilele acestea cu mult drag la strabunica. Nu concepea sa treaca o duminica fara sa faca o prajitura sau ceva dulce. Pentru mine ramane ziua in care se face ceva dulce! Si poate si pentru voi – de aceea am sa va dau o reteta de tarta cu migdale care a avut mare succes.

Ingrediente blat:
– 6 oua
– 7 linguri de faina
– 6 linguri de zahar
– 50 g migdale faramitate
– 7 g praf de copt
– vanilie

Ingrediente crema:
– 6 oua
– 250 ml lapte condensat
– 4 linguri zahar
– 1 lingura amidon
– vanilie
– fulgi de migdale pentru decor

For a few days I plan to post this delicious recipe.
I arrived home too late, all sort of not so nice things happened and finally I had big problems with the connexion. Who can work with only 20 kbs? Well, I can’t!
And today it’s turn came.
I thought those days about my great grandmother. She didn’t conceived to pass Sunday without baking a cake or something sweet. For me it will remain the day in which something sweet is baked! And maybe also for you – that’s why I will give you a  very successful almond cake.
Ingredients for sponge cake:
– 6 eggs
– 7 tablespoons of flour
– 6  tablespoons sugar
– 50 g minced almonds
– 7 g baking powder
– vanilla
Ingredients for filling:
– 6 eggs
– 250 ml condensed milk
– 4 tablespoons of sugar
– 1 tablespoon of starch
– vanilla
– almond flakes for decoring

Se separa albusurile. Se bat spuma impreuna cu zaharul.
Apoi adaugam galbenusurile, vanilia, praful de copt si migdalele. Se mixeaza iar in final adaugam faina.
Compozitia obtinuta se pune la copt intr-o forma de tort, in cuptorul preincalzit. Blatul este copt in 10-15 minute. Putem sa incercam cu o scobitoare.
We separate the egg whites. We’ll mix them with the sugar until we’ll obtain meringue. 

After that we’ll add the egg yolks, vanilla, baking powder and the almonds. We’ll mix well and in the end we’ll add the flour.
The obtained composition will be put in a mold for cakes, and introduced in the preheated oven. Sponge cake is baked in 10-15 minutes and can be tested with a toothpick.

Intr-o craticioara se pun laptele condensat, ouale si zaharul. Amestecam energic cu mixerul sau cu telul. Apoi craticioara se pune la foc si se amesteca in continuu. Va trebui sa fim foarte atenti pentru ca amestecul sa nu se prinda de fundul craticioarei. Cand crema a inceput sa se ingroase adaugam vanilia si amidonul. Mai lasam craticioara pe foc 2-3 minute timp in care se amesteca in continuu.
Crema se lasa la racorit pentru cateva minute.

In a small pan we’ll put the condensed milk, eggs and sugar. We mix well with the mixer or the egg beater. After that, the pan will be put on the stove and we’ll mix continuously. We have to be very careful – the composition shouldn’t stick to the pan. When the cream begins to get thicker we’ll add the vanilla and the starch. We’ll leave the pan on the stove for 2-3 minutes, time in which we’ll mix continuously.
The cream will be left to cool down for few minutes. 

Intre timp vom praji putin fulgii de migdale. Apoi punem crema intre cele doua bucati de blat pe care le-am taiat si deasupra tartei si presaram migdalele. Si gata! 🙂
Meanwhile we’ll fry the almonds a little bit. After that, we’ll fill with cream between the two loafs of sponge cake that were cut and also on top. In the end we’ll spread the almonds on the cake. And… that’s it! 🙂

Mi-as dori…

…un cadou frumos si util de ziua mea! Nu mai e atat de mult pana atunci. Mai exact pana in aprilie. 9 aprilie.
Tocmai am gasit pe un cadou perfect. Luati un pix si notati: “vrea un obiectiv Pentax”!
Pai nu era de asteptat? Dupa ce mi-am facut singura cadou un aparat super (ok, are o problema de utilizator inca neindemanatic!) acum am nevoie de un obiectiv PENTAX SMC P-DA 21MM F/3.2 AL LIMITED

Obiectivul acesta a obtinut nota 10 pentru calitatea constructiei, 8.83 pentru calitatea imaginii si un scor total de 9.17 in cadrul unui review al unui site de specialitate.
Numai ganditi-va cate poze superbe o sa fac eu cu el! Si pana la poze superbe cata mancare buna si aspectuoasa (ca poate-poate o iesi ceva)!
Preturile celor de la sunt foarte bune in comparatie cu multe alte magazine. Imi place de ei!
Sa va spun acum de unde am aflat de site.
Ei bine, Chinezu’, un blogger tare simpatic, a lansat pe blogul personal o campanie Quickmobile . Aceasta campanie se adreseaza bloggerilor. Daca doriti sa participati la concursul al carui premiu e un iPad 2 trebuie decat sa va alegeti un produs de pe pe care vi l-ati dori si sa scrieti despre el. Nu uitati sa specificati undeva in articolul vostru sintagma “campanie Quickmobile” ca sa va gaseasca omul usor si sa va dea premiul.
Concursul se desfasoara pana pe 24 martie ora 23:59. Pe 25 martie se va alege prin tragere la sorti un castigator.
Eu una nu prea am noroc la concursuri dar mi-a placut ideea si faptul ca am gasit un cadou perfect de ziua mea.
Bun. V-am spus ce mi-as dori cadou, v-am povestit despre concurs. Acum vine promisiunea.

Carne de porc in zeama de varza (sau mezel de casa) / Pork in brine from sour cabbage (or some sort of a homemade charcuterie)

Iata ca in sfarsit primavara isi face aparitia. De prea mult timp o asteptam (sa va spun un secret-eu o asteptam de prin septembrie sau octombrie!)…
Ne-am apucat de curatenia de primavara. V-ati dat seama ca varza murata nu prea mai are multe zile in camara noastra. Asa ca a trebuit sa minimizam cat s-a putut cantitatea de varza murata risipita. Stiti doar ca mie nu-mi place sa arunc mancarea!
Asa ca am facut o bucata de carne in zeama de varza. Delicioasa! Nici nu stiu de ce mai cumparam sunca si muschi din comert!
Si am sa va spun cum sa faceti si voi acasa asa ceva.

Iata de ce aveti nevoie:
– 1.5 kg carne de porc
– 1.5 l zeama de varza murata
– mix de piper
– patrunjel uscat
– 2-3 catei de usturoi
– cimbru uscat
– foi de dafin
– cuisoare
– coriandru

So, finally spring decided to appear. For so long we’re waiting to come (let me tell you a secret-I was waiting the spring from September-October!)…
We started to clean up as in every spring. You realized that sour cabbage doesn’t have to many days in our pantry. So we had to minimize as much as we could the quantity of wasted sour cabbage. I know that I don’t like to throw away the food!
So I cooked pork in sour cabbage water (or brine-I can’t find a word for this in English). Delicious!I don’t know why we’re buying all those hams and smoked fillet from supermarkets!
I will tell you now how to cook your own pork in sour cabbage water at home.
Here’s what you need:
– 1.5 kg pork
– 1.5 l sour cabbage brine
– mix of pepper
– dried parsley
– 2-3 garlic cloves
– dried savory
– bay leaves 
– coriander

Bucata de carne se pune pe un grill si se rumeneste pe toate partile. Nu adaugam grasime.

We put the pork on a grill and we parch it on all sides. We’re not adding any grease.

Se pune intr-un vas termorezistent, se adauga condimentele, usturoiul si zeama de varza. Se acopera si se introduce in cuptorul preincalzit.

We put the meat into a thermo resistant recipient, we add the condiments, garlic and the brine from the sour cabbage. We’ll cover the recipient and we’ll introduce it into the preheated oven.

Carnea se intoarce pe toate partile in vasul in care fierbe.
Va fi gata in circa o ora, o ora si jumatate. Se scoate din vasul in care a fiert si se pune pe grill. Se rumeneste din nou pe toate partile. Si in sfarsit este gata pentru a fi servita!

The meat will be turned on all sides in the recipient in which it boils. 

 It will be ready in one hour, one hour and half. We take out from the recipient in which it boiled and we put it on the grill again. We’ll parch the meat on all sides. And finally it’s ready to be served!

Se poate servi calda, cu garnitura, salata si ce mai doriti. Se poate servi si rece – ca si mezel. E delicioasa!

It can be served warm, with side dish, salad and whatever you wish. But it can be served also cold – as charcuteries. It’s delicious!

Prajitura “Lava de ciocolata” / Chocolate lava cake

Stiu ca multi dintre voi sunt fani ciocolata.
Nu stiu daca ati vazut acele poze minunate cu prajiturele din care curge ciocolata, tot felul de fructe de padure pe langa ele…Ei bine, eu am vazut. Dar nu am gustat niciodata! Si cum sunt curioasa de nu se poate (da, da-curiosity killed the cat!) nu puteam sa nu caut reteta. Alexandru a fost asa de dragut incat mi-a dat o reteta grozava si in plus, mi-a dat si cateva indicatii.

Iata ce trebuie sa folosim:
– 200 g ciocolata
– 125 g unt
– 125 g zahar
– 5 oua
– 1 lingura de faina
-50 g cacao

I know that many of you are chocolate fans. 
I don’t know if you saw that great pictures in which cakes that have chocolate flowing out of them are surrounded by all kinds of berries…Well, I saw. But I never tried them! And I’m so curious (yeah, yeah, curiosity killed the cat!) I couldn’t help myself not to look for a recipe. Alexandru was so kind to give me a great recipe and also few advices.
Here’s what we need:
– 200 g chocolate
– 125 g butter
– 125 g sugar
– 5 eggs
– 1 tablespoon of flour 
– 50 g cocoa

Batem ouale cu zaharul.

We beat the eggs with the sugar.
 Topim ciocolata si untul si le amestecam. Adaugam apoi peste oua si omogenizam. Se adauga apoi faina si cele 50 g de cacao si se amesteca bine.

Atentie – untul si ciocolata nu trebuie sa fie prea calde.
Compozitia se pune in frigider 10-15 minute.

We melt the chocolate and the butter and we mix them. We add this composition over the beaten eggs and we homogenize. We will add the flour and the 50 g of cocoa and we’ll mix.

Pay attention – chocolate and butter shouldn’t be too warm. 
The obtained composition will be put in the fridge for 10-15 minutes.

Vom folosi ramequins sau forme de silicon. Ramequins vor trebui unse cu unt si pudrate cu cacao. Apoi se pun cateva minute in frigider dupa care se vor umple 2/3.
Formele din silicon nu necesita ungere. Eu am folosit ambele tipuri.
Cuptorul se incalzeste la 180 de grade Celsius. Se baga formele si se lasa cel mult 10 minute.
Este indicat sa incercati decat cu o forma pentru inceput pentru a vedea cat de mult se coace. Timpul se ajusteaza in functie de aceasta incercare.
We will use ramequins or silicon molds. Ramequins have to be greased with butter and powdered with cocoa. Then we’ll put them in the fridge for few minutes before filling them 2/3.

Silicon molds don’t need to be greased. I used both-ramequins and silicon molds.
The oven has to be heathen at 180 Celsius degrees. The molds will be put in the oven and left there for 10 minutes at most. You should try with only one mold at the beginning to see how your oven bakes. The time will be adjusted after you take this first mold out of the oven.

Serviti cu fructe de padure, inghetata sau frisca. Neaparat calde!

Serve with berries, ice cream or whipped cream. Warm!

Pulpe de gasca la cuptor cu sos de afine / Goose drumsticks prepared in oven with bluberries sauce

Sper ca va place carnea de gasca! Pentru ca azi am sa va prezint o reteta delicioasa cu gasca.
De catva timp am inceput sa gasim si la noi in magazine mai des carne de gasca. Dar gasca mea nu a trecut prin magazin. Ea este de la tara, din zona Iasiului.

Iata de ce avem nevoie:
– 2 pulpe de gasca
– 500 ml vin alb dulce
– 200 g afine
– 1 lingura amidon
– 4-5 cartofi noi
– 5-6 linguri de ulei (optional)

I hope you like goose! Because today I will present you a delicious recipe with goose meat.
For a while now we started to find more often goose meat in our stores. But my goose never saw a store. It’s from countryside, from Iassy region.
Here’s what we need:
– 2 goose drumsticks
– 500 ml sweet white wine
– 200 g blueberries
– 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
– 4-5 young potatoes
– 5-6 tablespoons of sunflower oil (optional)

Spalam si curatam pulpele. Apoi scoatem pielea cu grija si o punem intr-un castronel.
Cele doua pulpe se pun apoi intr-un vas termorezistent, se adauga vinul si se acopera. Vasul se pune in cuptorul preincalzit.

We wash the drumsticks. We’ll carefully take off the skin and we’ll put it in a bowl.
The two drumsticks will be left in a thermo resistant recipient, the wine is added and then it will be covered. The recipient is being put in the preheated oven.

Dupa aproximativ o ora vasul se scoate din cuptor. Pulpele se vor aseza pe o farfurie intinsa iar sosul rezultat se pune intr-o craticioara.
In acea craticioara se vor adauga afinele. Craticioara se pune la incalzit. Cand afinele vor incepe sa fiarba se adauga amidonul amestecand in continuu. Sosul va fi gata in cateva minute.

After almost an hour the recipient will be taken out of the oven. The drumsticks will be put on a plate and the resulted sauce will be put in a small pan.
In that pan we will add the blueberries. The pan is put on the stove. When the blueberries will begin to boil we’ll add the cornstarch mixing continuously. The sauce will be ready in few minutes.

Va aduceti aminte ca am spus sa puneti pielea de pe pulpe intr-un castron? Daca vrem sa respectam reteta vom topi grasimea de gasca si vom praji cartofii in ea. Daca nu va place, folositi uleiul pentru a-i praji.
Serviti apoi pulpele calde cu sos si cartofi. Minunat!

You remember that I told you to put the skin taken off the drumsticks in a bowl? Well, if you want to follow the recipe we will melt goose’s fat and we will fry the potatoes in it. If you don’t like this idea, you can use the sunflower oil to fry the potatoes.
After that serve the warm drumsticks with sauce and potatoes. Wonderful!

…si nu uitati sa serviti un pahar de vin alb dulce!

…and don’t forget to serve a glass of sweet white wine!

Ciorba de perisoare / Meatballs soup

Cativa dintre cititorii blogului m-au intrebat daca nu o sa public si o reteta de ciorba de perisoare. Ei bine, i-a venit si acesteia randul.
Sunt foarte fericita atunci cand interactionez cu persoane care imi citesc blogul si va incurajez sa-mi scrieti orice intrebare, idee sau parere.
Dar sa trecem la treaba! Reteta mea de ciorba de perisoare este putin modificata in functie de ceea ce ne place noua. Sper ca o sa va placa! 🙂

– 1 kg carne tocata amestec (sau de pui)
– 200 g orez
– 2 linguri ulei
– 1 ceapa
– 3 ardei
– 2 morcovi
– 200 ml suc de rosii
– 2 oua
– 50 g faina
– ardei iute
– boia
– piper
– sare
– patrunjel

Some of my blog readers asked me if I will publish a recipe of meatballs soup. Well, that moment came.
I’m very happy when I interact with persons who read my blog and I encourage you to write me any question, idea or opinion.
But let’s get back to work! My recipe of meatballs soup it’s a little bit modified, to satisfy our tastes. I hope you’ll like it!
– 1 kg mix of minced meat (or chicken minced meat )
– 200 g rice
– 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil
– 1 onion
– 3 bell peppers
– 2 carrots
– 200 ml tomato juice
– 2 eggs
– 50 g flour
– hot pepper
– paprika
– pepper
– salt
– parsley

Vom spala si vom curata legumele. Apoi le taiem in bucatele iar morcovii ii dam pe razatoare mica.
Punem uleiul in oala in care dorim sa facem ciorba si il incingem. Adaugam apoi legumele si le calim putin (2-3 minute). Se adauga apa si se lasa la fiert.

We’ll wash and peel off the vegetables. After that we’ll cut them in small pieces and we’ll grate the carrots. In the pot where we want to boil the soup we will put the oil and we’ll heat it for a little time (2-3 minutes). We add water and we’ll let the vegetables to boil.

Intre timp pregatim compozitia pentru perisoare. Intr-un bol vom pune carnea tocata, ouale, orezul, piperul, boiaua, sarea si faina. Se amesteca pana la obtinerea unei compozitii omogene.

Meanwhile we’ll prepare the composition for meatballs. In a bowl we’ll put the minced meat, eggs, rice, pepper, paprika, salt and flour. We’ll mix until we’ll obtain a homogeneous composition.

Formam perisoarele. Acestea vor avea o marime potrivita. Daca va intrebati de ce am pus in compozitie atat oua cat si faina, am sa va raspund. Ambele ingrediente au rolul de a impiedica perisoarele sa se dezintegreze.
Perisoarele se pun la fiert impreuna cu legumele. Cand perisoarele sunt aproape fierte se adauga sucul de tomate, ardeiul iute si la final patrunjelul.

We’ll form the meatballs. Those meatballs will have a medium size. If you wonder why I put in the composition eggs and also flour, I will answer. Both ingredients have the role to prevent the meatballs’ disintegration.
The meatballs will be put in the pot to boil with the vegetables. When the meatballs are almost boiled we’ll add the tomato juice, hot pepper and in the end the parsley.

Serviti cu smantana sau iaurt! Delicios !
Serve with sour cream or yogurt! Delicious! 

Trufe cu migdale si ciocolata / Almond and chocolate truffles

Este inceput de martie. In curand doamnele vor sarbatori ca in fiecare an Ziua Femeii.
Este singura zi din an in care veti zari prietene, mame, colege sarbatorind. Printre ele veti mai zari poate, cativa domni. Sa nu vi se para ciudat! Am cunoscut trei astfel de domni care sarbatoreau in fiecare an impreuna cu doamnele. Da, erau nascuti de “Ziua femeii”. Ei erau capabili sa simta cel mai bine ce inseamna aceasta sarbatoare! Unul dintre acesti domni mi-a marcat viata si mi-a ghidat pasii.
Asadar, acest post este dedicat acelui domn deosebit si tuturor femeilor care vor sarbatori ,ca in fiecare an, Ziua Femeii.
Iata de ce avem nevoie:

          –  5 oua

       – 5 linguri zahar
-5 linguri faina
–  10 g praf de copt
– 10 g bourbon vanilla

          –100 g migdale

           -150 g unt

            – 250 g ciocolata neagra

          – bombonele decor

March just begun. Soon the ladies from my country will celebrate as in every year International Women’s Day .
It’s the day from year when you can see only friends, mothers, colleagues celebrating. Among them you’ll see maybe, few gentlemen. Don’t think that it’s weird! I met three gentlemen like those ones. They were celebrating in every year with the ladies. Yes, they were born on 8th of March. They were capable to feel the best what this day means! One of those gentlemen had a big role in my life and guided me for a long period.
So, this post is for him and for all the women that will celebrate on 8th of March.
What we need:
 Sponge cake
–  5 eggs
        – 5 tablespoons of sugar
        –  5 tablespoons of flour
       –  10 g baking powder
        – 10 g bourbon vanilla
         -100 g almonds
        – 150 g butter
        –  250 g black chocolate
        – candies to decorate 

 Am facut un blat simplu ca si cel de aici.
Daca doriti, puteti adauga 1-2 picaturi de colorant rosu sau suc de sfecla pentru da culoare blatului.

I made a simple sponge cake like the one from here.
If you want, you can add 1-2 drops of red color or beet juice to give color to you sponge cake.

Dupa ce blatul s-a racit, se faramiteaza cu robotul sau cu o furculita. Se adauga migdalele rasnite si se amesteca.

After the sponge cake cooled off, we’ll crumble it with the kitchen robot or with a fork. We’ll add the grinded  almonds and we’ll mix.

Adaugam untul topit si omogenizam.

We’ll put the melted butter and we’ll homogenize. 

Formam bilute din compozitie si le asezam pe o farfurie. Dupa ce am terminat de format bilele, punem farfuria in frigider timp de 20 de minute.
We’ll form small balls of composition and we’ll put them on a plate. After we’ve finished forming the balls, we’ll put the plate in the fridge for 20 minutes.


Topim ciocolata intr-o craticioara, la bain marie. Vom scoate cate 3-4 bilute din frigider pe care le vom baga in ciocolata calduta pe rand, cu o lingura. Se scot pe o farfurie pe care am pus hartie de copt si presaram bombonele, migdale sau ce dorim. Se baga apoi in frigider. Procedeul se repeta pentru toate trufele.
Se vor tine in frigider cel putin 30 de minute inainte de servire.

We melt the chocolate in a pan, in bain marie. We’ll take out of the fridge 3-4 balls and we’ll dip them, one by one, in chocolate with a tablespoon. We’ll take them out of the pan on a plate on which we put baking paper and we spread candies, almonds or what we wish. After that we’ll put them in the fridge. This procedures will be repeated for all the truffles. 
We will keep them in the fridge at least 30 before serving.

Placinta cu macrou afumat / Smoked mackerel pie

Imi place mult pestele afumat. Nu as spune nu niciodata unei gustari cu peste afumat!
Am gustat multe variante de pizza cu peste afumat, placinte aperitiv cu somon afumat si sos picant, pateuri cu tot felul de creme cu ton. Asa ca am facut si eu propria mea varianta de placinta cu macrou afumat.

Ingrediente blat (pentru 2 bucati x 26cm):
– 300 ml lapte
– 150 ml apa
– 50 g unt
– 10 g drojdie uscata
– 600 g faina

Ingrediente umplutura:
– 200 g cascaval
– 150 g macrou afumat
– 2 cepe
– 200 g rosii pasate
– 400 g pasta de ardei (sau 2-3 ardei rosii si 1 ardei iute)
– 100 g masline negre
– 4 oua

I love so much smoked fish. I wouldn’t say no to a snack with some smoked fish!
I tried many types of pizza with smoked fish, salty pies with smoked salmon and spicy sauce, pâtés with all many tuna pastes. So I made my own recipe of pie with smoked mackerel.
Ingredients for dough (for 2 pieces x 26 cm diameter)
– 300 ml milk
– 150 ml water
– 50 g butter
– 10 g dried yeast
– 600 g flour
– salt
Ingredients for filling:
– 200 g pressed cheese
– 150 g smoked mackerel
– 2 onions
– 200 g smashed tomatoes
– 400 g bell pepper paste (or 2-3 red bell peppers and 1 hot pepper)
– 100 g black olives
– 4 eggs

Intr-un bol punem laptele si apa caldute. Adaugam untul si sarea si amestecam.

Into a bowl we put warm water and milk. We’ll add the butter and salt and we homogenize. 

Adaugam jumatate din cantitatea de faina si drojdia. Amestecam bine si acoperim bolul cu un servet. Lasam compozitia sa dospeasca cam 20 de minute intr-un loc mai caldut.

We put half of quantity of flour and the yeast. We mix well and we cover the bowl with a fabric napkin. We leave the composition to yeast for almost 20 minutes in a warm place.

Se pune restul de faina, se amesteca si se lasa compozitia sa se odihneasca timp de 10 minute. Apoi se imparte in doua bucati. Fiecare din ele se intinde in tava pudrata cu faina.

We put the rest of the flour, we mix and we leave the composition to rest for 10 minutes. After that, we’ll divide the dough in two pieces. Each of them will be stretched in the tray but not before powdering it with some flour.

Punem ceapa, rosiile, pestele taiat marunt, pasta de ardei (sau ardeii taiati marunt) si masline.

We put onion, tomatoes, the fish cut in small pieces, pepper sauce (or pepper cut in small pieces) and olives.

Presaram cascaval ras. Apoi punem 2 oua batute in centru. Se vor dispersa pe toata suprafata.
Tava se pune in cuptorul preincalzit. Placinta se coace la temperatura medie pana cand devine rumena (cca 15-20 minute).

We spread grated pressed cheese. We add 2 beaten eggs in the center. They will spread on all the surface.
The tray will be put in the preheated oven. The pie will be baked at medium temperature until it will be parched on the surface (about 15-20 minutes).

Serviti alaturi de un vin alb rece. Va asigur ca va va placea! 🙂
Nu va inchipuiti ca am terminat cu retetele cu peste afumat. De fapt abia incep!

Serve with a cold white wine. I’m sure that you’ll like it! 🙂
