Carne de vita in vas de argila / Beef in ceramic pot

 Azi am sa va prezint o reteta care nu necesita prea mult efort, ci mai multa rabdare. Pentru ce rabdare? Ca sa se faca in cuptor. Merita asteptarea noastra. Carnea va fi frageda si suculenta, sosul va avea un gust minunat.
Cum in seara asta il asteptam pe Mos Nicolae, cred ca e vremea sa ne punem pe treaba. Nu vrem sa primim nuielusa in loc de cadou! :))

– 1 kg carne de vita
– 200 g masline negre
– 3 cepe mari
– 3 linguri ulei de masline
– 1l vin roze
– sare
– patrunjel
– cimbru
– foi de dafin
– piper mozaic

Today I will tell you about a recipe that doesn’t need too much effort, but a lot of patience. For what do we need patience? Well, because we’ll cook in the oven. It deserves our patience. Meat will be tender and juicy, the sauce will have a wonderful taste. 
Because this evening we wait Saint Nicholas (Mos Nicolae, in Romanian) to come, I think it’s time to get to work. We don’t want to receive a rod instead of a present! :))
– 1 kg beef
– 200 g black olives
– 3 big onions
– 3 tablespoons of olive oil
– 1l rose wine
– salt
– parsley
– savory
– bay leaves
– mix of pepper 

Avem nevoie de un vas din ceramica.  Vasul nu are email. Acesta e motivul pentru care inainte de a-l folosi trebuie sa-l punem intr-un recipient cu apa timp de 20 de minute.

We need a ceramic pot. The pot doesn’t have enamel. That’s why before we use it we have to put it into a recipient with water for 20 minutes.

Se taie carnea in bucati potrivite.
We cut the meat in medium slices.

Punem alternativ straturi de carne, ceapa si masline (cate 2 straturi din fiecare). Dupa ce am asezat ultimul strat de ceapa se pun condimentele si uleiul.

We put alternatively layers of meat, onion and olives (2 layers of each type). After we put the last layer of onion, we will put the condiments and oil.

Se pune vinul. Daca este necesar se mai completeaza cu apa. In general cand este un vin sec se pune si putina apa.
Se pune oala in cuptor si se lasa cel putin o ora si jumatate la temperatura medie. Cuptorul nu trebuie incalzit. Focul se deschide in momentul in care punem oala in el. Timpul de fierbere difera in functie de carne si cuptor.

We put the wine. If it’s necessary we’ll put some water. Usually, when the wine it’s dry we put some also water.
We put the pot in the oven and we let it there at least one hour and half at medium temperature. The oven doesn’t have to be heated. The fire will be started in the moment when we put the pot in it. The time of boiling differs because of different types of meat and oven.

Noi am servit cu piure de cartofi. A fost foarte gustoasa aceasta cina! Este o mancare ideala pentru cei ce nu au timp sa gateasca ceva elaborat pentru Craciun. De luat in considerare, mai ales daca lucrati pe 24! 🙂
We served with mashed potatoes. It was a delicious dinner! It’s a ideal dish for the ones that don’t have time to cook something elaborate for Christmas. You should consider this recipe, especially if you work on 24th of December!
